The general tradition at New Year’s in Barcelona, and in the rest of Spain, is to have dinner with family and friends. When the clock reaches midnight, everyone eat 12 grapes and a toast with Cava or Champagne.
The tradition of eating 12 grapes stands for the luck it brings for all the months of the new year. One grape,one month of luck.
